I tried playing again today.. I'm not very far yet, and I'm not getting very far either. I have yet to see my first monster (excluding the very first sighting ofcourse *shivers*), but the random earthquakes and FOOTSTEPS EVERYWHERE are enough to keep me shriveling in fear.
I've never been a big fan of horror games, the first zombie in Resident Evil as an example, resulted in the death of my PSX controller.. I adapted a bit when Doom III came out, where you could just run up to zombies and shotgun them in the face, which made it seem like a walk in the park all of a sudden. Here comes Amnesia. Just you, a torch (which you must use sparingly, or you will run out of oil) and tinderboxes to light candles and such. To make it perfect, there's also an insanity meter.. which means you'll slowly grow more crazy over time the longer you stay in the dark (or look at monsters *shudders at the thought only*), which means you *have* to use that torch no matter what. I recommend you to watch this youtube clip of someone playing through Amnesia, it's really how I'm playing it, and I've not even seen a monster t_t (yes I am a pussy).

Arkham City
All the news revolving around the new Batman game, I couldn't help myself and booted up Arkham Asylum once more. Three hours (!!!) of infinite combo challenge later, I realise I still love this game. Especially the combat challenges, it's like dancing with thugs (and punching them in the face D:).
So now, Arkham City is coming out October 21st, so we're still gonna have to wait for a while, but yesterday a new trailer came out, revealing bits of gameplay!
As expected, it looks amazing. It almost seems like Arkham Asylum was really just a testing ground to see what was possible, and Arkham City is fulfilling your wishes! ''Flying'' around the city, hanging off helicopters and double takedowns! There's even double counter-attacks! It was said that you will have all the gadgets you had in AA at the start of the game, and you even get smokebombs :).
There are also going to be side missions, which seems to me like a welcome addition which gives incentive to explore the entire city. As long as they're not the standard ''Fetch X, kill Y'' kind of side missions, but missions with an actual storyline or whatever. Chasing random thugs for random ''secret deliveries'' as side missions isn't very exhilarating. Especially when it says ''1/100 complete'', you suddenly lose the illusion.
As for what's known so far about the story, Quincy Sharp will be the new mayor of Gotham. He decided it'd be a good idea to build a wall around certain parts of the city, dub it ''Arkham City'', and to drop all criminals etc. in there for a grande Free For All. There is only one rule; no escaping. Tyger, a group of mercenaries, was hired by Quincy Sharp to enforce the one and only rule of Arkham City.
Hugo Strange will be in charge of Arkham City, and Two Face is planning on murdering Catwoman to get more respect from his fellow inmates. We can expect to be solving Riddler riddles once more, and the Joker's still there too (the injected Venom from AA might not be the only problem he's dealing with right now..).
You, BATMAN, are the one the STOP THE ANARCHY AND CHAOS. YOU are the DARK KNIGHT.
P.S. I'm doing the infinite combat challenge atm, my score's around 140k, got better?? SCREENSHOT OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

GTA V Wishlist
There's rumours going around about a fifth GTA game! Wuut! GTA IV was obviously a failure in comparison to the awesome games that came before, but we can always hope for improvement! I figured I'd make a personal GTA V wishlist. HERE IT COMES:
1. A caucasian main character.
I hated TJ (yes I know it's CJ). That other dude in TBoGT wasn't my favourite either, but he was better than a full gangster kind of main character. Still, gimme a russian or american character to kick ass with, it's more fun!
2. Graphics? Who cares, FIX FPS.
Sure, the graphics of GTA IV where kinda pretty, but you can have the prettiest graphics in the world and still fail if the FPS drops down to like.. 20/30? What's the point in having amazing graphics if you're just showing them as screenshots basically? My eyes never really got used to the framerate in GTA IV, guess I'm not the only one.
3. Relatable and fun characters.
Remember Vice City characters? Tommy Vercetti, Ken Rosenberg, Lance Vance, or even Candy Suxxx?? That's right, you remember them!! Now the only character I can think of when I think GTA IV is Brucie. There is not one other memorable character in the whole damn game!
4. A sense of.. having no purpose.
The older GTA's where just a playground filled with possibilities for you to wreak havoc. I'd load up the game, and not even think about what I was going to do next. Just go for a little ethnic cleansing in the early morning, or why not weed out some prostitutes with your car while you're at it? Splashing heads with your sniper, or mowing down pedestrians ridiculously fast, you'd keep setting new goals for yourself without ever having a real purpose but to have FUN. Please, make GTA V have a baseline feeling that you're mainly there because you're having a good time, not that you're playing through a story.
5. Splitscreen co-op
No explanation required.
GTA is not about some emotional bullcrap story brahs, it's about the hit and run action. Filling up hookers with lead and other substances, being creative with chain exploding cars that flop about with unrealistic physics and unpredictable effects, and all that kind of shit you can imagine.
Let me hear your thoughts on this! What would you like to see changed in the next Grand Theft Auto game?

Nostalgia Quiz #2
This one shouldn't be too hard either, good luck!
I have some fond memories of this one, although it may not have been a very good game.

Games of March 2011
March is a good month for gaming. We have a few big titles coming up, including Dragon Age II, Crysis 2 and Homefront.
Dragon Age II - PC, PS3, X360 - 11 March
The first actual blockbuster title of the month is arriving next week. The Dragon Age II demo has been available for a week, and fans of the previous game are rather divided as there's been some radical changes. We'll have to wait and see if it lives up to it's expextations.
Homefront - PC, PS3, X360 - 18 March
Homefront is promising to be an exciting fresh IP. It is set in 2027, and the USA has been invaded by North Korea. Streets and malls have become battlegrounds where civilian resistance forces pool their efforts in an attempt to fight for their freedom. The script has been written by John Milius (from Apocalypse Now), which makes it very likely the story and overall experience will be an engaging one.
Crysis 2 - PC, PS3, X360 - 25 March
The first Crysis' graphics (and innovative gameplay) had such an impact on the gaming world, it is not odd to be excited when you hear there's going to be a sequel. Surely, it's impact won't be as big as the first Crysis had back in it's day, but it still looks damn pretty. The way you now use suit powers seems like it's more streamlined (in a good way) and fun, I look forward to getting my hands on this!
